In XANTUS study the safety and efficacy of factor Xa inhibitor rivaroxaban were evaluated in routine clinical practice in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation. In consecutive patients who started treatment with rivaroxaban, all adverse events were recorded every 3 months for 1 year. Conclusions of major bleeding, symptomatic thromboembolic complications (stroke, systemic embolism, transient ischemic attack, and myocardial infarction) and death from all causes were centrally adjudicated. In total 6784 patients were treated with rivaroxaban at 311 centers in Europe, Israel, and Canada, on average, 329 days. The mean CHADS2 and CHA2DS2-VASc scores were 2.0 and 3.4, respectively. Treatmentemergent major bleeding occurred in 128 patients (2.1 events per 100 patient-years), 118 (1.9 events per 100 patient-years) died, and 43 (0.7 events per 100 patient-years) suffered a stroke. XANTUS is the first international, prospective, observational study to describe the use of rivaroxaban in a broad non-valvular atrial fibrillation patient population. Rates of stroke and major bleeding were low in patients receiving rivaroxaban in routine clinical practice.

В исследовании XANTUS оценены безопасность и эффективность ингибитора фактора Xa ривароксабана в обычной клинической практике у пациентов с неклапанной фибрилляцией предсердий. У последовательных пациентов, начинавших лечение ривароксабаном, через каждые 3 мес в течение 1 года регистрировали все неблагоприятные события. Заключения о больших кровотечениях, симптоматических тромбоэмболических осложнениях (инсульт, системная эмболия, транзиторная ишемическая атака и инфаркт миокарда), смерти от всех причин выносились централизованно. Всего 6784 пациентов получали ривароксабан в 311 центрах в Европе, Израиле и Канаде в среднем 329 дней. Средний балл CHADS2 и CHA2DS2-VASc составлял 2,0 и 3,4, соответственно. В процессе лечения большое кровотечение про- изошло у 128 пациентов (2,1 случая на 100 пациенто-лет), 118 больных умерли (1,9 события на 100 пациенто-лет), зарегистрировано 43 инсульта (0,7 случая на 100 пациенто-лет). XANTUS – первое международное проспективное обсервационное исследование, описавшее применение ривароксабана в широкой популяции пациентов с неклапанной фибрилляцией предсердий. У пациентов, получавших ривароксабан в рутинной клинической практике, частота инсультов и больших кровотечений оказались низкими.
