The clear conclusion is made that RCTs are the basis of modern evidence-based medicine, and that they have no alternative. Observational studies conducted in compliance with the modern rules can be a source of information on the efficacy of drugs only in the absence of data from RCTs.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>В статье сравнивается роль рандомизированных контролируемых исследований (РКИ) и наблюдательных исследований в оценке эффективности и безопасности лекарственных средств в области кардиологии. Делается однозначный вывод о том, что РКИ являются основой современной доказательной медицины, и что им нет альтернативы.
